Ken possesses a special ability to absorb and translate a client’s vision, purpose and culture into a plan of action, and it is this which allows him to bring ideas to reality.

For over 35 years Ken has been involved in taking ideas from inception to completion, both as a business leader and as a property consultant. He is committed to helping organisations realise their ideas, as well as working hard to get his own ideas off the ground.

Ken steps into his clients’ shoes and leads projects in line with their values and goals. He helps to shape the vision and strategy, then recruits and guides top teams that translate these goals into actions. He remains integrated with the team, leading and steering them through project delivery and transition management, ensuring projects fulfill their optimum potential.

Ken has worked with many great people and organisations creating and developing extraordinary ideas.

Ken actively supports numerous charitable and voluntary causes.   For example, he was formerly chair of governing body for three special schools and co-founded an armed forces charity. He was a judge for the annual RICS Awards from 2020 to 2024.   He is co-founder of For The Common Good, a small business network promoting thoughtful action around social justice.

In a career spanning some 45 years, Kumar has inspired individuals, boards and teams to have ideas and to bring them to reality – as well as bringing his own ideas and initiatives to reality.

Kumar has delivered in the top tier of all three sectors – as a business founder/leader, management consultant or in a governance capacity.  In the private sector, as well as Articulate. Kumar is also founding director of Claryon Systems, a UK digital design and development company with a team in India.   He was previously CFO at Criterion Games and acted as a long-standing, trusted advisor to Sony Games UK board members.

In the non-profit and public sectors, Kumar is currently Member of the Ethical Investment Advisory Group of the Church of England and non-executive of SH:24.  Formerly, he was Vice-Chair of Christian Aid, Chair of Maudsley Charity (a mental health charity), non-executive director of South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Chair of Trustees of Age Exchange (a charity for older people), Member of Court of Greenwich University and co-found of For The Common Good business network.

In 2015, Kumar was awarded an MBE for his services to charity.
