Stories from the past. Lessons for the future.

We believe that learning from the past helps us to create a better future so we help connect communities with those who served in or were impacted by past conflicts.

Every year since 2014 (on a pro bono basis), we help organise and lead an all-day event in Normandy, France to commemorate the D-Day landings that took place on 6 June 1944 on behalf of 47 Royal Marine Commando Association.

People (in their hundreds) who take part get to spend the day with Royal Marines Commandos on a 22km commemorative walk from Asnelles to Port En Bessin.  On some years, the Royal Marines arrive by sea and we then participants join them in retracing 47 Commando’s D-Day route behind enemy lines. They hear the story of their epic mission to liberate Port-en-Bessin as well as the courageous actions of the French citizens who helped them.

Thanks support from the Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Royal Marines Association – the Royal Marines Charity, local Mayors, landowners and tourist authorities, the free event has continued to thrive.
