Stories from the past. Lessons for the future.

We believe that learning from the past helps us to create a better future so we are working with Local Hero to connect communities with those who served in past conflicts.

Local Hero is a voluntary nonprofit organisation whose aim is to learn from the past by honouring and remembering those who served. It does this by bringing their stories to life and sharing them with their local communities. These stories have the power to educate and help to make sure that lessons from the past will never be forgotten and the value of peace will be celebrated and remembered.

We have helped in the formation and launch of Local Hero, working on a pro bono basis assisting with the design and project management of the campaign, including promotional and implementation strategies. By using our expertise in nonprofits combined with our project management and leadership skills we are helping to set Local Hero on the right path to achieve its goals.

Plans are already underway to bring the stories of the fallen to their communities. In Surbiton those listed on the WW1 Memorial will be remembered through sponsors from the community and local business. Plans are also in place for a commemorative walk on the 70th anniversary of the WW2 D-Day landings to hear the stories of those who survived and remember those whose lives were lost.
